Signs of life

Some pics I took in our garden yesterday.....

Snow drop

First daffs of the year

A very early tulip

There's something really lovely about seeing the first signs of life in the garden after a long dreary winter. It gives me hope for the new year.

Am I turning into a middle aged old fart when I'm getting excited about my garden?

Oh man! I wish I could see those in my garden! All I see in yucky snow and slush.

I read once (in an Enid Blyton book - so it must be true) that when you see the first snow drop of sprin you are supposed to 'ring' it and make a wish. So get out there!

Oh and I am very jealous that you have a garden my balcony doesn't quite match up. And you are only turning into an old fart when you get excited by Alan Titchmarsh - not your garden.

In short, yes, I think so...

I am jealous. A few more weeks of winter left here.

Sarah :( Hope the weather improves there soon!

WFI - How exactly do you 'ring' a snowdrop?

Xbox - Ah tis all right for ye young wans, but when you get to my age all you have is that and the tay. And the drink. And the odd ride every now and again.

Kim - Hang in there, it will be Spring soon!

If so, you and me both! I miss my English garden but my California one has some lovely jasmine.
